I enjoy finding products that can improve my health, enrich my diet, and fuel my workouts to help me lose weight. My husband and I both enjoy working out and we are both trying to shed a few pounds of "baby weight." So when a friend of mine asked my husband to review some products from Herbalife, he was excited to try them out. He was asked to review the new Formula 1 protein powder in creamy vanilla for the 24 hour athlete. He also reviewed the Herbal Tea Concentrate in original flavor. Here is what Jess had to say:

"This weekend I tried out Herbalife’s 24™ Formula 1 Sport shake mix and herbal tea concentrate. I had enough mix for three shakes, which I used at different times over two days. Since the shake is touted as a “healthy meal for athletes,” and as “nutrition for the 24-hour athlete,” I wanted to be sure to get in a couple workouts and see how the shakes supplemented the rest of my daily meals to keep me feeling satisfied and energized.
I had the first shake Saturday morning prior to my workout and the second Sunday morning, both as substitutes for breakfast. The third I mixed up after a Sunday afternoon workout. I also brewed and drank the tea over the two days. After substituting the shake for two meals, I have to say I don’t feel like I missed anything nutrition-wise nor did I feel like I skipped meals.
My first shake on Saturday was just mixed with some Silk-brand unsweetened almond milk, Truvia, and some cinnamon (everyone should have some every day!) to make what the included shake mix recipe called “French Toast.” And I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. If you’ve taken protein or other mix powders for long, you know that not all of them taste very good, and some taste dry even when mixed with whatever you put in your shakes. Not so with Herbalife’s 24™. My vanilla version tasted great and was a great kickoff to my 30-minute Jillian Michaels workout. I hadn’t worked out for a long time (though I consider myself fairly fit), so I was expecting to be sore for the rest of the day, and to feel hungry after the workout as I usually do, but that wasn’t the case at all.
I just now finished off the third shake after my second workout, and I feel great, which doesn’t happen very often, especially after a Jillian workout. For any guys reading this, don’t laugh until you’ve tried to do an entire workout of hers. So after two workouts in two days I am barely sore at all, and I could certainly use this shake mix as a meal stand-in on a daily basis. At 90 calories with low carbs and sugars (using nonfat milk), the Herbalife 24™ Formula 1 Sport makes for a great quick meal that provides the fuel you need."
