Pinteresting Project: Mess-Free Finger Painting
I saw this one on Pinterest and was eager to try it because my son is not quite ready for finger painting in general and could use a few more learning activities geared towards his age range. I was actually quite disappointed to say that it didn't work very well. I may need more watered down paint or a different surface that won't be destroyed by paint. I put saran wrap over paper with paint on it and didn't really move around. It just squished a little. My son lost interest after about 30 seconds. Oh well, Pinterest Fail. If you have tried this and tips to share, please comment and let me know!

I tried a similar idea using a large zip bag with paper and paint in it and my then 20 month old son had almost no interest in it either.
ReplyDeleteTHAT IS SUPER COOL - I AM SO GOING TO TRY THAT WITH MY 14 MONTH AND 2 YEAR OLD! THANKS FOR SHARING!

That is such a cool idea!! Hey, 30 seconds is 30 seconds. When you're entertaining a toddler, that's pretty much the same as an hour for an adult!
ReplyDeleteHmmm that's too bad. Well at least you tried it and like the previous commenter said, 30 seconds can count for a lot with a toddler!
ReplyDeleteWhen two older sisters were getting to paint, as 15month old is freaking out to be included...this WORKS!
